Ep 109: Tears of Joy — Devotion
Wednesday Sep 22, 2021
Wednesday Sep 22, 2021
Tears are a natural, important function of our perfectly created body. Scripture tells us many instances of weeping by the people of God. Sometimes they were tears of sorrow. Sometimes they were tears of joy.
Tears of Joy is a devotion on comfort and hope, by Judy Lessmann, originally published by LWML.

Ep 108: Simeon‘s Song — Devotion
Wednesday Sep 15, 2021
Wednesday Sep 15, 2021
[Simeon] blessed God and said, “Lord, now you are letting your servant depart in peace, according to your word; for my eyes have seen your salvation that you have prepared in the presence of all peoples, a light for revelation to the Gentiles, and for glory to your people Israel” (Luke 2:28b-32).
Does your heart melt when you see a tiny baby? Infants look so precious and vulnerable. Can you imagine the overflowing joy in Simeon’s heart when he first saw the baby Jesus, instantly knowing this little being was also the promised Messiah, God’s precious Son?
Simeon's Song is a devotion on Joy in the Journey, by Dottie Simonides, originally published by LWML.

Wednesday Sep 08, 2021
Wednesday Sep 08, 2021
How reassuring to hear of God’s love to every person. An old children’s song reminds us that all people are “precious in His sight.” But are they precious in our sight?

Ep 106: The Perfect Age — Devotion
Wednesday Sep 01, 2021
Wednesday Sep 01, 2021
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart …” (Jeremiah 1:5).
God continues to hold you in His loving hands throughout your childhood, teenage years, and all the stages of your adult life. Do all these times feel like “The Perfect Age”? Of course not! How are you feeling today? Does today feel far from the “Perfect Age”? Take heart, God uses these times to make us stronger, bolder, wiser, more patient, and loving. Therefore, today you are still at God’s “Perfect Age.”
The Perfect Age is a devotion on Christian living, by Lynn Batchelder, originally published by LWML.

Ep 105: The Cadillac Kid — Devotion
Wednesday Aug 25, 2021
Wednesday Aug 25, 2021
Most of us need to have the Cadillacs of life removed from our eyes because they obscure that on which we should be focusing. It is easy to want all the fancy cars, gadgets, games, and distractions that advertisers insist we need to be cool, fit in, or just be up-to-date with everyone else.
The Cadillac Kid is a devotion on relationship with God, Christian living, personal spirituality, by Terri Bentley, originally published by LWML.

Ep 104: Praying Mothers — Devotion
Wednesday Aug 18, 2021
Wednesday Aug 18, 2021
“For this child I prayed, and the Lord has granted me my petition that I made to him. Therefore I have lent him to the Lord” (1 Samuel 1:27-28a).
What is the best gift a mother can give her child? I believe it is to pray for that child and surrender them to the Lord as Hannah did with Samuel in the verse we just read. We obviously will not physically surrender our children to the local pastor, but we can lay their lives at Jesus’ feet. We can pray for our children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Praying Mothers is a devotion on motherhood, prayer, and Christian living, by Lynn Batchelder, originally published by LWML.

Ep 103: Hand Holders — Devotion
Wednesday Aug 11, 2021
Wednesday Aug 11, 2021
Hands are such an important part of our bodies. What a wonderful creation God has wrought when He made us and created us with hands. Take a few moments and look at your hands. Think about the many things our hands do in a day … in a lifetime.
Hand Holders is a devotion on Christian living and our relationship with God, by Norma Jean Wilber, originally published by LWML.
