Wednesday Jan 18, 2023
Devotion on Self-Worth, Luke 12:6–7. 1 page.
Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? And not one of them is forgotten before God. Why, even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not; you are of more value than many sparrows (Luke 12:6–7).
"As I was growing up, I struggled with my own self-worth. I never thought I was pretty enough, smart enough, athletic enough, had clear enough skin, had cool enough clothes, etc. I always thought I needed to conform to something that wasn’t me, whether I admitted this to myself or not, in order to be accepted."

Do You understand how that hurts? … Do You understand what it’s like to be bone weary? … Do You understand how hard it is to cope with injustice? … Do You understand how awful it is to feel forsaken? …

Devotion on Christian Living, Comfort and Hope, Proverbs 16:9. 1 page.
The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps (Proverbs 16:9).
Many times we become stressed, frustrated, and unhappy that what we thought was going to happen or what we were going to get done is foiled. We complain, groan, and get grumpy! But as we look at Scripture, we find that we can rely on the Lord, knowing that He has a plan and a purpose for us.

Wednesday Dec 21, 2022
Devotion on Advent, Christian Living, Relationship with God, Acts 1:11b. 2 pages.
What would your answer be if someone were to ask you, “Are you ready to meet your maker?” This advent season is a wonderful time to remember that Jesus promised to return to us. Acts 1 states to us that when He arose into heaven, angels told His disciples, “This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven” (Acts 1:11b).

Wednesday Dec 14, 2022
Wednesday Dec 14, 2022
Devotion on Trust, Psalm 121:1–2, 7–8. 1 page.
I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth. The Lord will keep you from all evil; he will keep your life. The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forevermore (Psalm 121:1–2, 7–8).
Life is hard. So many things want to knock us down and take our breath away. There is pain, worry, anxiety, death, brokenness, and fear that makes life hard. There are times when things feel so low, stressed, or overwhelmed that there seems to be no way out. But there is.

He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away (Revelation 21:4).

Ep. 169: Reaping a Bountiful Harvest — Devotion
Wednesday Nov 23, 2022
Wednesday Nov 23, 2022
Devotion on Christian Living, Galatians 6:8b. 2 pages.
… the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life (Galatians 6:8b).
In one of the many parables Jesus shared with His disciples, He used the example of a farmer to teach a lesson. We know that the task of the farmer is to go out and plant his seeds. Once in the ground, the seeds begin to grow and produce a crop for him to harvest. The Lord provides the harvest.
Like the farmer in the parable, our task is to be about sowing, namely, sowing the seed of God’s Word. When we take time to share His Word with others, many more have the opportunity to come to faith in Him as their Savior and have the assurance of reaping eternal life in heaven.
