Answered Prayer was written by Linda Guteres, Christian Living Editor, Lutheran Women's Quarterly, and appeared in the Lutheran Women's Quarterly.
Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke
is easy, and my burden is light (Matthew 11:28–30).

Devotion on Christian Living, Romans 8:28a. 2 pages.
An inspirational thought excerpted from Alma Kern's book, You Are Special.
Did you ever wonder: since I’m God’s child and He loves me dearly, then why did He let this happen to me? To the one I love? Why does He allow suffering? Why do bad things happen to good people?

Devotion on Caregiving, Lent, John 13:14. 1 page.
If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet. (John 13:14).
Jesus was a teacher extraordinaire! Not only did He explain with words, but He also used examples easily understood by common people. Jesus taught His disciples, including you and me, humility and love when He knelt down and washed the disciples’ feet.

Devotion on Service, Ephesians 2:10.
A devotion excerpted from Alma Kern's book, You Are Special.
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them (Ephesians 2:10).
This morning I had prayed my day would be worthwhile in God’s sight. This incident must have been part of God’s plan. He used me to answer my neighbor’s prayer.
