Ep. 188: Foot Washers —Devotion
Wednesday Apr 05, 2023
Wednesday Apr 05, 2023
Devotion on Caregiving, Lent, John 13:14. 1 page.
If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet. (John 13:14).
Jesus was a teacher extraordinaire! Not only did He explain with words, but He also used examples easily understood by common people. Jesus taught His disciples, including you and me, humility and love when He knelt down and washed the disciples’ feet.

Ep. 186: Let God Use You — Devotion
Wednesday Mar 22, 2023
Wednesday Mar 22, 2023
Devotion on Service, Ephesians 2:10.
A devotion excerpted from Alma Kern's book, You Are Special.
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them (Ephesians 2:10).
This morning I had prayed my day would be worthwhile in God’s sight. This incident must have been part of God’s plan. He used me to answer my neighbor’s prayer.

Ep. 185: Love’s Atoning Sacrifice — Devotion
Thursday Mar 16, 2023
Thursday Mar 16, 2023
Devotion on Lent, God's Love, Relationship with God, 1 John 4:10.
This is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins (1 John 4:10 NIV).
Last month, the stores were filled with red and pink. … But now it’s March, and where have all the valentines gone? The sugar rush has long since faded, and even some relationships of February may not have lasted longer than the beautiful bouquets. For a holiday that boasts so much about love, it often falls short. Perhaps that is because the type of love we too often focus on is actually not love at all. What, then, is love?

Ep. 184: Loves Me Forever and Ever — Devotion
Wednesday Mar 08, 2023
Wednesday Mar 08, 2023
Devotion on Relationship with God, Love, Jeremiah 31:3.
I love you with an everlasting love (Jer. 31:3 NIV).
God loves each of us with an everlasting love that will never end or vanish. Earthly love, as we know, can come and go, but the Lord has given us the gift of His love. In the power of the Holy Spirit, we are always filled to overflowing with this love. It is not for us to keep to ourselves, but to share in all we do and say with those He places in our lives.
