Devotion on Relationship with God, God’s Care, Praise and Thanksgiving, Psalm 145:15-16. 1 page.
The eyes of all wait upon thee; and thou givest them their meat in due season. Thou openest thine hand, and satisfiest the desire of every living thing (Psalm 145:15-16 KJV).
God’s love for us is so great that daily He opens His hand and satisfies our needs and the needs of every living thing.

Devotion on Comfort and Hope, Stress, Psalm 55:17. 1 page.
It's easy to get overwhelmed by the world's troubles. Yet God tells us that, As one whom his mother comforts, so I will comfort you (Isaiah 66:13a). How blessed are we to have a loving God who cares for each of us as a mother cares for her child.

Devotion on Christian Living, Kindness, Psalm 116:5. 1 page.
The Lord is gracious and righteous; our God is full of compassion (Psalm 116:5).
The little boy cries in distress but no one seems to notice. Just a few moments later another little boy approaches, puts his arm around him and says, “Don’t cry. I am here.” What a simple statement but yet so reassuring and comforting! … How do we show compassion daily?

Devotion on Marriage, Ephesians 5:25, 28. 2 pages.
Finding a life-long mate is a gift from God. A marriage is not without its long and tiresome journeys, dusty and dirty roads, and annoying circumstances that may bug or even hurt you. But a loyal husband vows companionship and care, and a peace-filled wife finds comfort in his promise.
A life-long union between a husband and his wife brings each spouse comfort and joy. Our eternal life-long union with God which began when we were baptized, gives us the perfect comfort and joy that only our trustworthy God can give.

Devotion on Christian Living, Salvation, John 14:6. 1 page.
I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me (John 14:6).
Being lost is not fun. Sometimes we find ourselves lost in a lifestyle of our own devices. We feel overwhelmed with things in our life that are beyond our control. That’s when our only hope is to step back, take a deep breath, and let God be God for a better direction for our life.

Devotion on Missions, Isaiah 6:8. 2 pages.
And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then I said, “Here am I! Send me” (Isaiah 6:8).
Unlike Isaiah’s eager response, my initial reaction when asked to join a Haiti mission team was “Who, me? I’m a hot-headed, socially clumsy, middle-aged, adult convert from the backwoods. What credentials do I have to offer a team of experienced mission trippers?” I thought.

Devotion on Relationship with God, Prayer, Colossians 1:9-12. 2 pages.
As St. Paul said to the Colossians 1:9-12, And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God. May you be strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy, giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light.
We share in that inheritance because of Jesus’ death and resurrection. In thankfulness to this gift of salvation, we commit ourselves to following His will. However, sometimes it is difficult to know what God intends for us to do.

Devotion on Family Living, Christian Living, 1 Samuel 1:27-28a. 1 page.
I prayed for this child, and the LORD has granted me what I asked of him. So now I give him to the LORD. For his whole life he will be given over to the LORD (1 Samuel. 1:27-28a NIV).
Throughout life we all pass from one stage into another, such as graduating from a school, being joined in marriage, or advancing in a profession. Each stage brings new experiences, additional responsibilities, and a renewed sense of purpose. This devotion looks at parenthood and grandparenthood.
